5008 Character Progress Update: Sculpt & Design
Feedback
Leather skirt needs more shape and weight
Sleeves looks elasticated and oddly shaped over the biceps (odd sharpness)
Consider adding a tied area (string or threading) to add definition
Add pinching
Non-conforming material so need to add more tension folds; similarly to the cloth near the fastenings up top
Calves look sharp; needs softening
Tendons on the legs in the wrong place; need to be closer to the centre
Lace up the greaves instead of having buckled straps; would take too look to do up; not practical
Fingers look odd, need work
Character looks about half way finished
Should give 3-4 days on hair alone as it is very important for a realistic character and hard to get right
Can look like a bundle of hay (too many small pieces) or a blob (geometry)
Could model the inside of the mouth if my MA was more research-based, but for the purpose of what I'm doing practice-based it's not really needed
Could have hair cards for the eyebrows because of Greek character, but not necessarily needed for a female character.
For 3/4 view
Upper eyelashes as cards but can look odd on lower lashes
Scars tend to be more of a texture as apposed to in the normals; don't over do them and do massive slices in her
After I fully complete the hair, add some hair onto the scalp to blend the model and the hair cards.
Objectives for next week
Have sculpt finished and retopologised.
