This was my presentation for my project proposal.
Long story short I was told I was doing way too much and I was going to basically kill myself with all I'd plan to do. I was advised to decide on what's most important (3d character art) and do that. The animation and game ready component was a good idea as I was seeing them in context of what game they're going to be in.
I felt like I had to do everything to justify doing what I love for my masters and be known for what I do, but it turns out that there's a gap in the market for 3D character artists who understand that although detailed sculpts are nice, they need to be able to be animated, deform correctly, and actually work in-game. I hope to fill that gap.
My process is more so going to go like this now:
Groundwork: Study processes
Main project: Make characters
Stretch goal: Explore animation further
Any UI work I'll do will be for presentation purposes but not for the main projects.
I'm really pumped to start my project now as I want to learn and improve as much as I can and really utilise the year that I have.
